Our Dream Team Supplier Review 11/22/2011

At last our most awaited event was finally over (though we still have this kind of “wedding syndrome” moments πŸ™‚ ). It went unexpectedly fun and memorable day with our family, relatives and friends. One week before the wedding I’m so stressed (not to mention my Groomzilla as well, I think he’s more stressed out). But on the day itself we threw out all the worries and stress and just enjoy every second and every minute of our wedding day. You may check out our photos in this link Mark + Issa Wedding.

Here’s our wedding supplier rating:

Legend:

  • 5 – The Best Ka!
  • 4 – Sakto Lang.
  • 3 -Pwede Na.
  • 2 – Sablay ka.
  • 1 – Uwi!

CHURCH: SHRINE OF JESUS (The Way, The Truth and The Life), Reclamation Area, Pasay City (near SMX)

Website: www.shrineofjesus.net

Peso Power – Php25,000

Rating – 4

PROS:

  • We really love the church, the ceremony was solemn walang unknown photographer na umiikot para magtake ng photos and force you to buy it after the ceremony.
  • The ventilation was also good, imagine our wedding time starts at 1:30 pm pero hindi namin ramdam yung init.
  • It’s easy to find and good location.
  • When it comes to wedding requirements, hindi naman kami nahirapan, the coordinators were organized and they even contact us to remind about the pre cana seminar and other needed requirements.
  • Not that strict with party poppers, confetti and dove release after the recessional

CONS:

  • Rate is to much to think that its a non aircon church.
  • Very strict on the following
    • Bridal and entourage gowns (bawal ang tube top kailangan may bolero or something to cover your shoulders)
    • Misalette and wedding song selections (they have their standard format, bawal ang personal vow, only liturgical songs ang kakatahin during the ceremony – they gave us the list of songs na pwede namin pagpilian and its really few choices lang talaga)
    • Photo and Video (you need to pay Php1,000, register / give them the names of your photographer and videographer kase gagawan nila ng pass saka may area lang sa altar na dun lang sila pwede mag take ng photos and videos)
    • Strict on time (pero unfortunately late yung pari on our wedding ceremony so late nagstart yung ceremony)
  • When it comes to floral arrangement – I can say na its just simple, all white but it was still good (fresh pa naman sila) but if you want to upgrade it they only have one accredited florist that you need to contact. here’s the sample photo of the floral arrangement.

RECEPTION VENUE: POPE JOHN PAUL II YOUTH CENTER, Shrine of Jesus Hall

Peso Power – Php25,000

Rating – 3.5

PROS:

  • Good air conditioning
  • Big hall – can fit 250 guests
  • Location is so convenient to all of us πŸ™‚

CONS:

  • The only caterer that they allow was Tamayo’s Catering (although we don’t have any violent reaction on that πŸ™‚ )
  • Very strict on the following
    • Very loud music
    • Drapes and mood lights
    • Photobooth (but we managed to have one πŸ™‚ )
    • Mobile bar (pero nakapag puslit pa din kame ng liquor without them knowing hihi)

CATERER: TAMAYO’S CATERING, Intramuros, Manila

Peso Power – Php160,000 (200 pax)

Rating – 4.5

PROS:

  • Good food (especially the pastries)
  • Reasonable price
  • Waiters and Food attendants were great, snappy and accommodating, they even had a surprise number for us and for the guests – sumayaw sila in the tune of So Sexy!
  • Our AE, Ms. Peng was very accommodating and organized. We really like her honest opinions and suggestions. She gave us a good package and a lot of freebies (as in!).

CONS:

  • Hindi nasunod yung reception layout na gusto namin – though it was explained to us by Ms. Peng the reason kung bakit hindi pwede yung ganon layout.
  • If you’re particular with the set-up and style, I thinking its better to hire an Event Stylist kase most of their style were commonly used on weddings. So if you want your wedding reception to stand out from the rest, better hire an Event Stylist.

CAKE and SOUVENIR SUPPLIER: HONEY GLAZE CAKES, Quezon City

Peso Power – Php17,000 (150 cupcake giveaway, 2 round cake and 18 mini cakes for principal sponsors)

Rating – 4.5

PROS:

  • Originally the 3 layered cake was one of the freebies of Tamayo’s Catering but we opted to upgrade it so our guests can also enjoy the cake.
  • We loved the flavors! It’s chocolate and carrot cake. Super sarap ng cake nila. Most of our guests had their picture taken beside the cupcake tower. I won’t blame them kase ang ganda ng pagkakaayos πŸ™‚ and its all edible cupcake tower!

CONS:

  • Medyo pricey nga lang, take note nag-upgrade lang kame cake, but we don’t mind as everyone enjoyed the cupcake.

PHOTO & VIDEO: CD WORX MULTIMEDIA, Quezon City

Photo taken and edited by CD Worx Multimedia

Peso Power – Php45,000 (2 Photographer, 1 Videographer with SDE presentation )

Rating – 3

PROS:

  • Staff were friendly and accommodating especially during our first meeting at the bridal fair in SMX.
  • My hubby and I liked the SDE video presented at the reception, good choice of songs (here’s the link – Mark + Issa SDE).

CONS:

  • During the bridal fair at SMX, we thought we got a good value for our money for photo and video supplier but after we we saw the end product we felt disappointed. Here’s why:
    • During our pre-nup photoshoot we only have 1 crew who arrived at the shoot (we thought that it would be 2 one will be the photographer and the other will be the lights man but no it was only 1)
    • Β They were late during our wedding day, sa lahat ng araw sa kasal pa namin sila na late! (it’s a big no no for me). The call time was 9am coz our wedding starts at 1pm but they arrived quarter to 11am. I’m so disappointed but I have to let go of that on our wedding day to avoid stress.
    • I felt that they did not have enough time to shoot our wedding essentials (na pinaghirapan namin gawin) coz they were late.
    • And major disappointment was we only have 1 photographer, but in our contract we should have 2 photographer and 1 videographer.
      • We gave them feedback and Bernard called me after we sent (via email) our feedback, he explained that it was 2 photographer – yun palang isa he was not only the lights man but a back up photographer kaya 2 photographer raw yun. O diba ang ganda! So lesson learned, every time na sinasamahan ko yung mga friends ko na ikakasal we do ask and clarify every details included in photo and video package – mahirap na baka maulit sa kanila yung nangyari sa amin.
